The Stockwork showing area is underlain by a sequence of marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Stuhini Group. The stratigraphy has been intruded by Early Jurassic monzodioritic to gabbroic plutons.

In 1990, Santa Marina Gold observed that mineralization on their Arc 18 and 20 and on the southern portion of the Arc 19 claim at the is hosted primarily by plutonic rocks and is restricted to quartz-epidote-chlorite-carbonate veins 5 to 50 centimetres wide carrying up to 10 per cent massive pyrite (sometimes oxidized to limonite), with minor hematite, arsenopyrite and traces of malachite. These veins occur either individually or as stockwork zones, neither having any preferred orientation.

The Stockwork zone, the largest such zone, is 6 to 9 metres wide and can be traced for over 150 metre along an east-northeast trend. Gold values in rock range from 10 to 580 parts per billion, with the highest results (#33723) received from a quartz-epidote-pyrite stockwork. Copper values range from 5 to 556 parts per million, lead from less than 2 to 281 parts per million, zinc from 2 to 246 parts per million and molybdenum from 7 to 115 parts per million (Assessment Report 21177). All these elements show some correlation with gold values.

In 1990, Santa Marina Gold Ltd conducted a program on the Arc 18-21 claims that consisted of geological mapping and prospecting in conjunction with geochemical rock sampling (149), limited soil sampling (44) and silt (33) and heavy mineral concentrate (9) sediment sampling. No previous work on the property is documented.

In 2006 and 2007, Hathor Exploration Ltd. completed a 7228.7 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey on the area as the Snip claims of the Iskut project. In 2008, Max Minerals Ltd. examined the property.
